Born in Dayton Ohio she grew up alongside three siblings. They relocated to Australia together with her family around the age of six. Thompson left New York after graduating high school. She then traveled for five long time. She wanted to start an acting career by becoming a model. Modeling was a great opportunity to begin acting.
